    Hello,

I'm opening this thread to see if others have been seeing this same issue.

    Bug URL:  https://github.com/W...sues/issues/838

I'm on Windows 10 Professional x64 (clean installation from a Microsoft sold USB flash drive).

The problem happens without any add-ons or plugins enabled / installed.  (e.g. lua unloadall and unloadall before logging into first character)

Steps generally are, but I've seen variations:

    1) Start POL

    2) Keep or unload all add-on & plugins

    3) Log into main character

    4) Got about work

    5) Need to reference http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com via Firefox.

    6) Change focus to Firefox and open a new tab (clone / duplicate or new tab)

    7) While using Firefox, POL crashes.  It has also happened where POL crashes right after returning focus to POL from Firefox.

I've already posted 6 dumps with and without add-on/plugins PLUS the one where POL had focus just returned from Firefox.

Anyone else seeing the same or something similar?

    Thank you.

NOTE:  I've been able to dual box without this happening as frequently, but it does happen from time to time where one of the two boxes will crash.

Does the crash with Firefox happen without Windower? I ask because it sounds suspiciously like this problem. Flash is used all over the web in places you might not expect. I'm pretty sure the crash when dual-boxing is unrelated to the first, and probably caused by the IPC layer; Arcon is working on rewriting that code.

Waiting for a fix, re-installing the previous version of Firefox avoid the issue.

At this point I'm almost certain that the bug is on SE's end (or possibly Mozilla's but I'm more inclined to believe it's SE's fault).

I am also having this problem recently. The weird thing is I have (2) of the came computers with (1) computer having this problem and the other not having this problem. The main thing I noticed is that when I click on modzilla Firefox with a webpage that contains Flashplayer content or some video content it will encounter the problem with POL/FFXI. So I uninstalled flash player but webpages still have content on their sites and for instance I would load FFXIAH.com and it the game would crash. If I load a site like Yahoo Sports it would crash. So it seems to be something with the web because the game will stay connected properly if I don't use the web at all. The interesting thing is that on my other computer I can surf the web no problem and I have no problems with playing FFXI. I have un-installed and re-installed windower several times. I have ran malware and virus scans to no help. I don't know what else to do.

This also began occurring for me ever since tab groups were recently migrated, but running on a Windows 8.1 PC.

For now I shutdown Firefox on the PC running FFXI and open up ffxiah, ffxiclopedia, and bgwiki on my tablet or laptop.

I would like to return to multitasking on my FFXI computer, however, so I am very interested in findings here.
