Hello everyone!

First I'd like to say thank you for keeping XI View going. I'm not sure where it started but I discovered it lost it and then found it here. So i appreciate all of you either way! Secondly I'd like I ask if it's still working for anyone... Text and stuff stayed after updates but I haven't been able to get like buff icons and such i'm a bit confused haha!. Please let me know how it's going for all of you! Thanks!

Its looking like the update overwrote the buffs file, your best bet is to reinstall Xi View, as far as I can tell no major changes were made (the file itself looks identical to me)

If there'a any compatibility issues arising I'm awaiting people to report here and I'll get right to fixing

Yeah like a day after the update I zoned into abyssea gruberg and game crashed and it was stuck in a loop when I logged it aby would chuck me out as I didn't get time from the npc before the crash so it kept crashing no matter what I did. Done a system restore to a few days before update, driver update everything.

Only thing that fixed it for me was a fresh install of FFXI :/ now I'm scared to put ffxi view back on lol

Did you try to login using FFXI without Windower and/or without any plugins/addons loaded? There's very little XI View could do to cause the type of error you're describing, even were it out of date

Yeah loaded up ffxi from the pol viewer and also windower without plugins/addons and it still crashed. I don't know how else I would of corrupted the files though I only messed about with the files when putting ffxi view on thats the only time I did it other than maps but I put the maps on weeks ago. Really unsure what happened I want to put view back on as it looks ugly without it but a bit worried

Just wanted to stop in and mention was on RDM tonight and when i pulled up the magic menu and started scrolling through it the game crashes. Not sure why just wanted to let you know. I did just reinstall the one from month(or so ago) that was suggested before.

My file doesn't touch the menu icons by default, would be odd for it to cause a crash

Which version etc caused the problem?

My version have an updated menu icons dat, you can try it.

Do you have a link to the dat file? I actually forgot which one it is for icons.

Using version 2.26, usually I change out the menu icons to the relic weapon icons.

I noticed that it crashes when you get to bottom of black magic menu where the frazzle 2 and others are that currently have no icon picture beside them. Is that the problem?

Mine may be out of date, I discontinued its use until I get around to mapping the entire file correctly, the file is 280/15.dat

The file wasn't included in the 2.26 patch, so you got that from an even earlier version

2.26 isn't affecting any status/buff icons as it did in previous versions, only text.

I really can't stand the default icons !!

I'm running that version myself at the moment, so there shouldn't be an issue with it

Could you confirm the version you're using? 16:9 or 4:3 and which language?

Could you check you're set to Icon type 2 in Menu -> Misc
