2.23 crashed for me after updating. However, 2.21 is working just fine for the moment. I don't know what will happen when the new icons kick in though. For now 2.21 is working. Hope you all save your old files

Haven't tested it yet but the new version of Xi View:
No real changes, just fixed for the update (they only added one icon which isn't in use and some menu structure changes)

Caradogg haven't tried 2.24 yet, but 2.23, while working, had an icon missing, that was present in previous versions. I'm talking about Valiance/Vallation. For some reason it's not in the widescreen 2.23 57.dat file anymore.
I get the default icon instead of the custom one you created quite some time ago.
Was this a known issue? Is it present on 2.24 as well? (sorry, can't try atm)

It was intentional, I was unhappy with it so I was working on a few things, since I had a few hours I worked on it a bit:
This only has minor differences but is totally untested, any issues please contact myself, feed back on the icons I added is welcomed.
btw Caradog I have an updated menu icons dat, if you wanna include in your package I can give it to you.
I'll be working on a few things to update that file as I get time since a few people have asked about it.

Does anyone have a spare title screen .dat? I used one of the other versions of this and it put its own thing in the title screen, and it's not super outdated ("Sept 9, 2014")

Again, replacing the ROM>119>51.dat and 57.dat is not changing status icons. Am I doing something wrong this time? Had it working last time

Sounds like a permissions error tbh, I'd extract the Rar somewhere into personal documents, then copy the entire Rom folder you require (based on Widescreen or Normal) into the Program files/Square Enix/Final Fantasy XI folder. If the problem persists I'm unsure what the issue is but could you possibly tell me what version you use (Widescreen or Normal) and what language? Thanks

Also it could be the Icon type he is using in the game, look in "config > misc > Icon type" and check if its set to 2

Saw some reports on other forums, it looks like any of the Gift spells for mages are causing FFXI to crash if this mod is installed and they browse the spells in the magic menu. I think it's that there's no icons in the DAT. That would be for the Helix II spells, Tier VI black magic elemental spells, Threnody II spells for BRD, Reraise IV, and maybe some others I can't see. Anything from Gifts menu for 100 points seems to be affected.
I just wanted to make sure those were known, since it's easy to forget those with new spells not having come out in a while.

By default it doesn't install the dat responsible for menu icons, it has to be manually added by adding the 280/15.dat from the Other folder
I'd be surprised if it were causing a problem because typically, every dat has "spare room" for additional icons to be added - so they should just appear as blank icons if you use an old version
I'll look into this - I don't use that particular dat myself as I prefer my menu icons to match those used by the plugin Timers
Will look into updating that dat for the next patch, probably when RoV1 is released

Only widescreen and it includes menu icons dat. The new buffs Icons are the default from SE (I fail at being an artist), if someone want to create them can give to me and I'll update.
Post here is you find any errors, crashes or if you want me to change some menu icons.

Old 57.dat seems to be working, but I bet it's going to give an error for the new JAs/Spells/Buffs.

I'll be updating the wildman's version, yea.
old version 57.dat won't have the new abilities icons and the 51.dat won't show the mog safe2 and remodel buttons on the mog.

Yea tbh those all sound like things I'd expect, is Wildman not around anymore? I'll get to work on my version for a release either later tonight or tomorrow early (am UK so bare with me!) =D
