APradar (Fork of newly released open source apradar.)

sence the nov update i have had several things go wonky with ffxi

1. i have to run pol twice(and keep both running) just to log in

2. some apps dont work correctly any more (apradar, all fface apps, etc.)

tho there were some updates for windows on the same day as ffxi but i cant tell if any of thoes caused this

Im on a lose then, the changes I did were minimal. Only a very minimal part of the ffximemory.dll was changed, aside from the new maps .gif and the changes to the map.ini.

What OS you guys using? and Does the bar cacth your process, show your position, zone, etc?

I had the same problem after a fresh install. ApRadar has never been on my laptop before. All I had to do was click Mapped Radar >> Reset position.

It seems it might be initially rendering off screen?

For what it's worth, I'm 1366*768.

This might be the cause. I guess your setting might have been overwritten by the ones I include.

Kenshi yup my problem was the same as omnys

also when doing programs that save settings like this its recommended that you eather run from a different folder so your settings cant over write others settings or make sure that you dont include the settings file in any updates

in this case dont include any thing in the Apradar3\Settings but include the folder this will also allow others settings to remain intact

the specific file that needs to not be included is MappedSettings.xml

Went to load Apradar and it says Apradar is unable to contact the apradar servers, please check you interent connection and try again.

There is nothing wrong with my connection, is there something I need to do for this or is there something else wrong

apradars servers doesn't exists anymore, so any feature that require them won't work.

hmm it said this once before  and it suddenly started working again, so no more Apradar I guess

Um... what features require the servers? Authentication can just be removed from the source, and any legitimate server-side features can just be rewritten to use client-side data. I'm willing it help out with this, but I've never used APradar, so you're going to have to point me in the right direction.

Authentication was removed when apnea made the souce public, the only features that use apradar servers are client and map updates and apradar chat. Every other thing should work and it works for me.

I was going to try and re download it and see if that helps, its saying its unable to validate the version when I try and load the current one I have

the download link is a few post back, if you are using the version from the apradar forums then its obvious that its not goin to work.

ok I got it thank you, the only problem I have now is that the map is like I have zoomed in on it, and cannot zoom back out, any suggestions for that please?

I think to change zoom you need to hold shift and move the mouse wheel
