      For the past few months I've been wanting to keep my desktop pc running while I sleep. However the bright light from the monitor keeps me up.

      When running XI in windower4, when I turn off the monitor and turn it back on it crashes the game. This happens in game, character start screen/menu and even in pol.

      I'm not entirely sure if its my monitor that causes this issue or what because I don't have a crashing issue running any other game.

      I'm running Windows 8.1

      using windower4

      with a monitor by LG:  W2353V-PF

      I tried going through my power options, and changing settings in there but so far no luck. Any advice/tips/info would be appreciated.

      Does it happen without Windower? I assume the monitor sends some kind of signal which causes an event on the OS side that's interfering with POL's fickle nature (like anything that changes the screen mode). Just guessing though, I've never encountered this issue before.

        I think I figured it out. not entirely sure what's causing it though.

        When I turn off the monitor. the game still runs. However when I turn it back on. I guess the screen readjusts resolution and stuff. and then the game crashes.

        So not sure how to fix this or its something I must deal with
