pol causes crash and unistall

Downloaded windower, when I tried to launch pol, the window closed but pol never launched and windower was uninstalled, the shortcut was dead the .exe vanished completely. Attempting to reinstall windower didn't bring the .exe back. using unistall.exe and deleting the folder didn't alleviate this problem. Did the same thing to ###### when i tried that. It was working fine earlier today. Pol still works on its own. Any ideas?
