Controller and Duoboxing

So I'm having this weird issue since the last update... when duoboxing, my controller now actions both characters simultaneously.  It was never an issue before, so I'm assuming something changed with the last update.  Also the 'X' used to close the window is now blocked.  Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I am also having this problem and it started right after the May update. I changed no settings. When I logged in after the update I was controlling both of my characters at once. Everything I have tried to do to fix this has not worked.

Windows 10, xbox 360 wired contoller.

i had an issue like this as well unchecking the enable controller when game is inactive in gamepad settings of ffxi config in ur game install folder not windower as this was happing on ###### too fixed this but somehow it keeps getting turned back on so i have to go in from time to time and re-turn it off something keeps enabling this idk if its windower ###### pol windows but this may be ur issue too

Well after 4 months and just about to give it up I found what my problem was. I kept unchecking the "enable gamepad when game is inactive" in ffxiconfig and when I would launch windower a setting under "Game" was rechecking it. For some reason it started this after the May update.

Under edit profile click the "Game" tab and uncheck "Always enable gamepad"

I had no clue this setting was there and had no issue before the May update. I can two box no problem again.
