Windower / FFXI "Not Responding" (Windows 10 blue circle)

    Hi!

     

    On / around April 26, 2016 I started seeing POL / Windower start showing a status of "Not Responding" and the blue circle appears on top of the window.  Waiting doesn't clear it up and ALL pressing close does either immediately closes Windower (no prompt for cancelling, terminate, or exit to POL) OR brings up the Window prompt to wait or close the application.

     

    This ALWAYS occurs during a FIGHT (never any other time) and typically after lots of them.  As for my system see below:

     

    Windower has been running smoothly and the only updates I did thus far are those that came through automatically.

     

    Suggestions, ideas, help, please! :-)

    ADDITION:  I did NOT upgrade, but bought my copy of Windows 10 Professional from Microsoft (via Amazon).  I did a clean installation on the SSD fresh.

      got same issue here, windower crash after 30 mins -/+ of fight and i got not responding thing

       

      i'm on windows 10 professionnal édition i reboot, reinstall windower, delete nvidia and make a fresh reinstall still the same issue

      i'm on windows 10 professionnal édition i reboot, reinstall windower, delete nvidia and make a fresh reinstall still the same issue

       

      In my case, it ONLY seems to die during a fight.

       

      I'll look after my 2 POL accounts (17 characters) each day (call it my accounting work), such as gardening, checking the Goblin, etc (takes about 2.5 hours or so) and no hang.  I go somewhere and start soloing and after awhile "not responding" occurs.  It would be nice to know what is hanging Windower / POL.  Is there a way to determine what component is amiss?

        yep for me too happen when i fight, i dont know how or when maybe its when you use a ja or something else, its not dual box issue it happen when i use only 1 char as well, i'll do some test today like unload all plugs to see if it still crash or not

          tried with all add on off still crash, now i try with all add on + all pulgs off

            windower w/o any add on or plugs wrok w/o crash so far  so look like 1 or more plug in make it crash i try a bit more then i'll try w/o plug and add on loaded to see

              loaded all plug one by one and crashed after guildwork up i retry with all add on + plug up but GW to be sure

                  guildwork is not built by the windower team but by guildwork them selves so you have to contact them

                    I agree with everyone else the problem is with the GUILDWORK plugin!

                     

                    I removed it and fought for 4 hours straight without a crash.  With Guildwork while fighting and it died within 20 minutes.

                     

                    I do LOVE the plugin and hope they'll continue supporting it.

                    I have YET to hear back and am wondering if they're waiting to see if others report the same issue.  Can YOU, please, use the URL and report the problem, too?  You might also point to this thread to show how many others are having the issue.

                     

                    Maybe not hearing from them on technical issue is normal.  I just don't know and want to insure they realize there is a problem and I'm not some insane customer.

                    Hi,

                     

                    I reported this issue to the Guildwork people (see above entry in this thread for the URL) and have not heard anything.

                     

                    I'm wondering if they got it or what.

                     

                    Has anyone else submitted a report?  Maybe they think it is just me and thus made it a very low priority given it doesn't occur all the time (at least for me, only during battle).
