      Hello,

I was wondering if anybody here has figured out (or might have a good idea) on what the _unknown1 and unknown2 fields of the outgoing 0x096 packet are.  I am interested in generating outgoing synthesis attempts (using more than just /lastsynth) and packets seemed like the simplest way to do this.

      Thanks

If it's not in fields.lua then we probably don't know. I went ahead and checked DarkStar to see if they had any info (a good idea in general; their packet data is usually much more accurate/complete, because it has to be for their project to function). They currently just ignore those first two bytes completely.

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that _unknown1 is probably related to the crystal in some way, _unknown2 is likely just padding so that Crystal is properly aligned on a word boundary.

From the way the OP is worded, it sounds like there is already a way to trigger an event based off of /lastsynth?

I've been trying to put together a gearswap that can detect a synthesis attempt and equip my crafting gear & cancel HQ attempts if the equip fails to complete, but synthesis does not appear to be a valid trigger using the built-in commands.  I've dug thru the wiki and demo files already, and the only conclusion I can reach is that I have to have it look for the /lastsynth packet.. Any advice on how to get this done for a lua newbie?  The wiki documentation has no examples/templates on how to actually use packet IDs that I have been able to find..

I'm also interested in trying to create a breakable loop using /lastsynth if that doesn't break the rules here. ^^;;   My laptop is getting old and the keyboard is showing signs of wear, so anything that can cut down on keystrokes would be a good thing.
