Controller config not applying ingame

      I have a wireless xbox 360 controller and the official ms wireless adapter, the FFXI gamepad config utility sees it just fine and lets me set the buttons and saves the config. But the ingame controls are set to the FFXI default, which are garbage. Is there a fix for this strange issue?

        Does it work without Windower? I'm pretty sure this isn't a Windower issue, since Windower really doesn't mess with controller input.
