Dual Boxing

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how the best way to dual box using windower is?

I used to use OnEvent. is there anything similar to this or something better that i dont know about?

Sorry, I don't really know what OnEvent is. I run Windower in windowed mode with the window smaller than my desktop resolution. I start up two instances, one for each character. I've found that putting one window on the upper-left part of my screen and the other in the bottom-right gives me the best coverage of information when one is in the forground.

I use FFXISwitchMon to switch between them with my controller and the Send addon to make macros that send commands to my alt (follow, cure, etc). I also use the Sandbox plugin to keep my chat logs from messing up.

The only issue I have is that when I switch from one window to another it thinks that some key on the controller (or keyboard?) is pressed. Usually it thinks that left/right on the D-pad (or tab) is pressed and the targetting cursor starts flying around the screen. I just have to hit the cancel button (or the escape key) and it chills out and goes back to normal.

Hey sorry i didn't think about that. OnEvent was a plug in for ###### that would monitor the chat log and react to text. i used it so i didnt have to actually do anything on the other chars and manage everything from my primary character just using party chat to issue commands to the other characters to use spells or ja's

Where can i find this FFXISwitchMon so i can check it out?

Sounds like you want the Send addon to make macros to tell the other chars to do things. Bundle that with the Subtarget addon to allow for target selection in their abilities.

Just Google FFXISwitchMon and you'll be able to find it.

side note if your good with programing / lua windower API is the way to go the some multibox stuff
