I looked around but dident see anything that answered or helped with my question, but i do apoligize if im asking something located elsewhere.

When running ffxi i generally play on my pc which is connected to a TV as a moniter, but I also play on a laptop. When on pc attached to the tv if i turn off the tv or change off of aux to a station ffxi crashes, when i go back to it, but not while im on something different. I have the same issue with my laptop but its when the screen saver comes on or i accedently switch to tablet mode.

Any assistance from people more knowligeable then myself would be greatly appreceated.

Unfortunately there is not and might never be a workaround for this. This is one of the limitations that we just have to accept :\

Anything that causes a resolution change or a monitor setup change will crash the game, regardless of Windower. It sounds like the PC senses no connection to the TV when you perform those functions, and it changes its configuration therefore causing the game to crash.
