    I have downloaded Windower on two computers now and neither of them have any addons. I have tried to copy the addons folder from someone else's pc who had the addons and place that folder in my windower folder, but that didn't work. I am running windows xp.

    I am trying to post a print screen, but it's not working.

    Do you mean they don't show up in the Launcher when you click on "Addons"?

        I can view the first one, the second one is asking me to open a zip file.

        I opened the zip file in notepad, and there's just a bunch of webdings font.

          I there no solution to this? I've found this same thread earlier in the forums, with the same response that I've received, but no end result, just as it is now. I really miss my TParty, drawdistance, distance, etc. Please help.

          Open the zip file you got (by double-clicking on it, don't use Notepad), you will find every Windower addon inside. Just copy whichever addon you want from the "addons" folder inside the zip file to "Windower/addons/". Also make sure to copy the entire "addons/libs/" folder from the zip file to "Windower/addons/libs/". This should normally be done by the launcher automatically, we currently don't know why this bug is happening.

              All of those folders within the zip file addons folder are in my addons folder within windower. I went ahead and deleted all of the folders in windower>addons, then copied all the folders from the zip file>addons, and pasted them inside windower>addons. There is still nothing at all under addons when I launch windower. I copied just tparty folder from the zip file to my windower>addons file, selected yes to all (to replace what was already there), and still nothing.

                Checked yesterday evening the available addons in my windower with a friends one.

                Logger, chatlink are not showing up, while tparty's got a lua file that only shows HP% but not TP.

                We verified multiple times that windower is downloading a different lua file in my place than his

                installation does on his place (unload addon, delete directory, re-activate the addon itself and

                thus force it to download).

                To me this sounds like my windower is having issues in downloading the proper content.

                Next to this I remarked randomly an abort of the starting process when I launch from Pol to

                Ingame. The reasons according to crash log are folder issues. Would have uploaded the crash.log

                but I am not allowed to do so.

                Kind regards,

                Omen

                That's expected. This is not to make the addons appear in the list, this is to install the addons. You can load them manually by adding them to init.txt. This is not meant as a fix, just as a workaround for you to be able to use them until we figure this out.

                Are you by any chance on Windows XP? What about you, @Omen?

                  Yes, I am using Windows XP.

                  I will try adding them to the init.txt file, thanks.

                    So do I just copy the settings from the addon I want to the init.txt file and save?

                    You just put "load X;" into the init.txt file for every addon you want to load. For example:

                    load Distance;
                    load FindAll;
                    load TParty;

                        On Windows XP aswell here.

                        Been downloading the addons I really need aswell. They work, but still are not managable from windower's setup.

                        Really curious what the reason for this behaving could be. To me it looks like either the download url is wrong at my installation

                        or the server that is offering the download content is mixing things up.

                        For now, I could replace the plugins with addons, but I'd love to see a true solution so that the windower's setup is really offering

                        me the addons and plugins that everyone else has got.

                        Kind regards,

                        Omen

                        Yeah, like I said, we're looking into it, this really isn't a working solution, just a temporary workaround.

                          You just put "load X;" into the init.txt file for every addon you want to load. For example:

                          load Distance;
                          load FindAll;
                          load TParty;

                          So,  I did this and it worked for a short while. Then it said Distance encountered a fatal error and must be terminated. Error: Access violation in incoming chunk method. Plugin successfully unloaded.

                          I checked the init.txt file and what I typed (above) is still there. I've restarted a few times and there's no difference.

                          Yeah, my bad, that was wrong. Change "load" to "lua load". The difference is that the first will load plugins while the latter will load addons.
