Yes - seems like this issue started overnight starting last night. Really hope for a solution in the near future!

Thank you again for all the great support you provide for your fellow FFXIer's!

I haven't tried uninstalling Trend Micro. I turned it off though. It's still a problem.

Are you guys running the dev version or the live version of Windower?

In either case, can you give this file a shot please:
        https://googledrive....TA/Windower.exe

Just place it in your Windower folder, overwriting the other file. Then launch Windower/FFXI as usual.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm using live version of Windower, worked fine yesterday till today just kept crashing for me. Edit: Replaced App Icon and it won't crash as soon as its opened but not it crashes when trying to launch FFXI, Crash Report gave me this now.

OK so I got it to work to a certain extent.  Let me give you guys my findings so far..

BOTH ways It only works the first time I use it.  I tried to disable my Trend Micro, didn't work.

After the first time it works, I get this http://i.imgur.com/famVu1M.jpg?1

I'm getting the same Crash Log as Diab. When that happens.

If I just delete everything, and do everything over, It works again, but only the first time.

WIth Windower4 already installed, It won't let me move the new EXE you created for us.  It just makes shortcuts.  When you open it up, it just starts creating all new files right in the download folder.  That being said, it will still work, you can just put a short cut on your desktop.

To stop this, you can just uninstall windower4.  Make your own folder, name it windower, just put it on your desktop.  With windower4 uninstalled, you can MOVE the new exe Arcon made for us.  Just move it into your new folder and open it up, it will create all the files in that folder.  This is the method I'm using atm.  I just keep the Folder on my desktop atm, cause I have to delete all the files and install a new EXE if I close the game.

So Technically I can play atm.  If I log out, I just have to delete everything out of my Windower4 folder, reinstall a new exe file(the one Arcon made) and put it in there.  I would also have to do all the plugins and stuff + put in and take out my scripts folder everytime.

Can you see if this file works:
            https://googledrive....TA/Windower.exe

Also, you can move the file if you explicitly tell it to, i.e. cute & paste. Just dragging it will create a shortcut.

Will try this when I get home later.

So, all I need to do is click Arcon's link and install Windower that way and try to see if it works afterwards?

Just place it in your current Windower folder (overwrite the Windower.exe that is there).

AH gotcha. I had uninstalled Windower all together since it stopped working properly so I will install it the regular way then place the new link in the newly installed folder.

How exactly do I move the downloaded Windower.exe file to the folder? It says it can only create a shortcut...

Copy and Paste it, don't just move it over.

This seems to work for me too, Arcon. Thanks a million! :)
