I've returned to Asura so if you see me around give a wave.
New maps are included.
I hope it is useful.

The maps must be placed in the proper folder for your program (either map or maps).
This map pack will only work if you have the correct ini file to go along with the program you use.
My map pack no longer includes an ini file ...
MAP.INI here (look for the latest version):

We should make one comprehensive map database instead of everyone posting their own versions or it will be impossible maintain.
I suggest we move the discussion to this thread.

Hello, I took a look at the map.ini in your pack and it has an entry for Kamihr Drifts map 1 that mine doesnt have.
Do I need your permission to add it to my map.ini, and if you were the original author for it do you want credit for it?
Your is missing Rala Waterways [U]/Yorcia Weald [U]/Cirdas Caverns [U] offhand
(I didnt look too deeply, it's mostly the same with the one bundled with maps intended for ffassist2 which i'm using to compare for stuff i'm missing)
If you wish to update yours alongside mine then feel free to grab the relevent lines out of mine,
they're not originally written by me so no permission/credit is needed

I honestly missed your post or I would have just sent you the info.
I updated the map pack for my own use - I just came back - and I thought I'd share.
I'll check out your ini and compare our info.
It sounds like yours will be better maintained so perhaps I'll just include a pack with images and you can handle the ini?
On the flip side, I give you full permission to use everything I have done and also make the maps available. You are welcome to take over as I don't have the time I used to.
Thanks and good work.

As I told Manii before (you're welcome to join us on our IRC channel Brehanin), could you please let me know if anything can be added to this: http://ffxidb.com/dump/zones/map.ini
That's based on the ini from Sean's map pack, but I adjusted various older areas to be more accurate. The only thing that's different are the map IDs (after the _), because I use what the game uses internally. We currently need a mapping from ingame ID to whatever it is the game uses in the /map menu as well as what the original map pack uses.

I've always used the naming conventions started by the JP community and I don't want to go back and rename all my maps.
I've no interest in continuing to update etc.because I just want to play the game. I'm sharing what I made for myself.
Please take anything I have as your own
I updated my map pack with all I could find from NA and JP sites.
I also updated the map.ini in the other thread.

Thanks for updating this! Been looking for a new updated map pack. Glad to see you are playing again. Download link does nothing for me. Sends me to a webpage with no place to download a file.

Yeah... ditto here, it doesn't give a download link, just the page to upload something...

The old link expired ...
I uploaded a newer version today with edited Adoulin maps.

Don't suppose you added the new zones into your map pack?

Hi, I'm new to this, and maps with bonus material would be awesome!! My question is can you point me to what add-on or plug-in in windower incorporates the new maps or how to use them please

Nothing in Windower does, but there are other third party tools (mappy and ApRadar come to mind) which do what you want.

The link for the updated map pack has expired, does anyone have a link to a current link? I haven't had any luck finding one!

Your requested file is not found.
Hopefully you get a chance to check on this, as it's been an absolute PITA trying to get maps to work with APRadar3.

seems to have links that download the ini file. I have no idea how to get it to work with apradar though. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: I guess what is missing is the map pack itself with the actual maps. I'd like that too if anyone finds it.
