Well... since the old topic can't be replied to anymore, and so far no one's posted a new topic...guess I'll start up a new one... though sadly never had much luck trying to locate the updates myself

Not sure if anyone has found any post-August update for anything... know it broke for me, and I still have issues with the Dho/Doh Gates map working with FFAssist map.. and no clue why it would always crash ffassist when I zoned into Dho Gates... got Marjami and Yorcia maps to work... but dho wouldn't.

A final note, my ffxi is cut off for good and i am moving on to 14, will no longer be updating this topic.

Was a good run, but after 10 years its time to move on, maybe we'll get a ffassist for 14, who knows.

Note that this time round the password is different to what it used to be but contains at least one of the words from the old passwords.

Took some digging around to find out how to make it work.  Doesn't work too well with 2-boxing on the same machine though and sometimes it causes FFXI to freeze up after logging on the character.

Having issues getting this to work.  Here is what I do:

1) Start up Windower.

2) Start up FFAssist2.

3) Log into select character screen.

4) ALT-TAB to FFAssist2 and hit CTRL+F1

No matter what order I launch things I always get this error:

All files/folders are set to full access, FFAssist2 is set in compatability mode/admin access as is POL/FFXI/Windower.  I get the same error when running POL without Windower.  I noticed that there was a .reg file included but there was no registries created so I ran the file to create them, but I still got the error.

I'm using EU FFXI, my ini file is just a basic one as follows:

I've tried 0, 1 and 2 for LogCaptureMethod and I get the same error every time.

Done lots of digging around to try and find answers but nobody seems to have any, plenty of others have the same issue I have since 2006 and everyone's suggested/done the exact same things I have to try to get it to work without any success.  Even tried version 20130430 and still same error.  There is nothing obvious I can find which says why I keep getting this error and how to fix it.  Can anyone help please?

Sadly, I'm not sure... other than scanning back through old posts (including the legacy version of the windower forums linked on the original post here)...

I don't recall a recent one having an update for the .exe, most have been just for the plugins.

The file with the .exe and the password are between 345 and 355.

For some reason, it would only take the pass when I typed it in, not when I c&ped, so if you have trouble you might try that.

Well mine still works, other than when there's updates to the game that break things... the main thing I can think of for the ini file is perhaps the x/y coordinates for the windows... or the "Logcapturemethod" in the "Window Settings" section, where if I recall correctly it can be 0, 1 or 2... but usually 0 works.
