Yesterday after the update I was able to log on using Windower with all the plug-ins, and add-ons turned on that I use, now all of the sudden when I log on Windower crashes as soon as it gets past the version check screen, I have turned off the majority of add-ons, and plug-ins I use, and it's still crashing the only ones I didn't turn off are draw distance console bg zonetimer light luggage and logger, and Windower still crashes is anyone else having this problem, or are there any fixes that can resolve this issue?

I turned off all plugins and addons. POL locks up after logging in and then going into the actual game. Ran check files for both POL and FFXI with no errors found.

I suspect that you guys may have upgraded your video card drivers to one that is not very compatible with FFXI. Can you please try to log in without Windower and see whether or not it works?

I tried everything. I tried running the config to set window mode, and I was unable to do that it kept crashing on me. Even logging into the game using the recommended way the game still crashed at the same point where Windower crash. I reformatted my pc and updated my pc with the latest nvidia drivers, but that wasn't cause of the problem after doing a full install I was able to get back on using windower. I set my plugins, and addons, and everything worked except for the guildwork plugin which pretty much caused the game to freeze. I turned that off, and everything was back to normal. I had the same problem again today where it would crash, but this time I was able to do a system restore, and was able to use windower, from what I've noticed it was the .net framework updates for windows that caused the problem for me.

Okay, so to make sure I have this straight:

                * You had the same problem without Windower.

                * The problem was fixed after a system restore.

                * It was the .NET framework update that caused the issue, you think?

Which version of Windows are you on? 8?
