Windower crashing suddenly using windows 8.1

Best Answer [email protected] , 02 July 2014 - 08:58 PM

I just finished a system restore and now I can use windower as before.  I will be preforming the individual updates from restore point to current to determine what caused the issue and post them here for any future issues and possible solutions

Listed below is my crash log, I dont know what is going on.  I have been playing fine and then yesterday I come home from work and windower crashes as it jumps to the FFXI app (pol>>ffxi, after clicking on play).  I have redownload windower 4 times, uninstalled and still same thing.

This looks like the typical Windows 8 logon crash. Unfortunately we have no idea what's causing it.

Thanks, I'd appreciate if you did that effort. However, some people have reported it breaking without any Windows updates (although I'm not entirely convinced of the veracity of those reports, but they do exist). I'd still appreciate if you did this, it may help us determine what's wrong.

Yeah I did the same thing he did, and the problem has returned. Maybe I can help narrow it down,

Only things I have done are:

            updated my drivers

redownloaded a game on steam (the red solstice)

and that's it. So maybe the drivers could possibly have something to do with peoples recent crashing.
