disable blinkmenot

blinkmenot

Have you checked the setting of the Config > Misc. > PC Armor Display option? When on, it forces all other PCs to display in default (level 1) armor.

You can also use /localsettings hidearmor off to make sure it's turned off.

This option was added during the October 2013 update. Go to the full post

So... I've been looking around with google, and I can't find anything about this at all.

I've tried blinkmenot, and it makes everyone's gear look like the level 1 starting gear.  I understand that's how it prevents blinking.

But when i disable it, there doesn't seem to be a way for my get the appearances back to the way they were.

What if I want to re-enable blinking, so that I can see everyone's gear, what they are actually wearing.

I've tried unloading it, starting the game with it no loaded, loading it and setting it to be disabled for everyone... nothing works.

It's like it is now permanently enabled even when it's not loaded.

      What can/should I do?

      Thank you.

BlinkMeNot should not be doing that. Are you sure it's because of BMN? Can you try logging in without it, see if it works, and if so load BMN and see if that makes it screw up again?

If this is due to BMN it's a bug.

I've tried disabling it in windower, and completely restarting windower and the game.  It's the same thing.

If I login without windower though, using the normal playonline viewer, everyone looks fine.

        Plugins that load are...

        PetTP

        Timers

        TParty.

        Addons are...

        findAll

Ok, that's probably a Hook issue then, but just to be sure, can you try logging in without any addons/plugins loaded? Just to make sure it's still occurring.

With nothing enabled, it's not occurring.

(the updateresources and luacore are still loading)

Ok, can you try to narrow it down to one plugin that's causing it?

I'm sorry, I have to take that back, it's character specific though.

With nothing or everything (what I had) enabled, it does the same thing, depending on the character I am on.

Meaning, on one character it's still showing everyone in their beginning gear, on a different character it shows them in what they are actually wearing.

This is true for these respective characters regardless of if nothing or everything is enabled.

I just tried uninstalling windower, and then reinstalling it, no change.

I did not know about that option... and I had not opened up that menu.

So I don't know that got changed, but that was the issue.

The timing occurred at the same time I tried BlinkMeNot, so I assumed it was related to that.

But thank you Arcon for trying to help me, and thank you Krellion for that insight.
