Hello,

With last night's update (June 24, 2015 22:00 PDT to 23:30 PDT), Windower is now reporting in the console log:

CRITICAL ERROR: FAILED TO FIND TargetArray

The console log from that time frame:

09:41:38 > CRITICAL ERROR: FAILED TO FIND TargetArray
09:50:44 > exit
09:50:45 > Unloaded all addons.

NOTE:  In the ase of the 09:41:15 to 09:50:45 session.  I was in Bastok Mines, setup up two equipment sets (#1 and #20).  I didn't do this, though during the 01:48:24 to 03:18:39 session.

Additional issue:

Before I left for 7 months, Windower would abend when I shutdown FFXI and the solution was to exit / quit from the command box.  Now, Windower is abending even when exiting and / or quiting.  The termination seems to be in LUA, even if I unload all addons before quitting / exiting.

NOTE:  I realize this only occurs once (at exit/quit time) and thus is low priority.  I would like to give a reason for it to be a higher priority issue, though.  I use a System Monitoring tool to look at the stabilty of my system and Windower always crashing at the end is messing up the numbers making the system look bad.  Yeah, I should some how get it to ignore Windower, but have yet to find a way for IOLO's System Mechanic to irnore Windower.  Anyway, any thoughts on getting Windower ignored by SM OR Windower to not crash at exit?

Thanks! :-)

============================================================================

UPDATE:  I just noticed the addon / plugins:

  • Distance
  • FFXIDB
  • PetTP
  • Scoreboard

are not working correctly.  While they all load Distance, PetTP, and Scoreboard fail to appear on the screen.  While FFXIDB displays the position is correct, it fails to show anything more (e.g. PC, monsters, NPC, etc).  (Just a comment/FYI/request:  I'd love to see FFXIDB expanded to be an OK version of ApRadar.)

Thank you for working on this issue!  I know you have main lives that pay the bills, etc!  I appreciate your help and Windower very much.

I get the "CRITICAL ERROR: FAILED TO FIND TargetArray" when gearswap is unloaded. However when I load gearswap and try to load a .lua I get

"Gearswap: Lua runtime error: gearswap/refresh.lua:229: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)"

Sorry this isn't a solution, but hopefully it will help the fixers fix it.

because byrth is forcing gearswap to unload because currently if you try to use gearswap it will crash ffxi on load

Diosax be patient, right now using gearswap its risky and could get you banned thats why you can't load it, no need to post every min, ppl its working on it. Take in mind ppl here don't get paid for this, so be comprehensive and don't demand things to be done right now, they'll be done when ppl have the time to do it.

Diosax don't make me come slap you <_<

Here's what bug reports should look like:

"I get this error message when I do that."

"When I perform this action, with that addon loaded, the game crashes."

"When loading this plugin I get an error message and it stops performing this and that function, otherwise it works fine."

You can post all you want, but as long as you're just shouting "SHITS BROKEN FIX IT" I will keep closing your issues because you're not being helpful.

That said, I fixed LuaCore, Timers and FFXIDB, I'll work on the rest now. Let me know if any plugin is still giving error messages

Thank you so very much for all the updates that came down tonight.

I have YET to play and try out the updated addons and plugins.  I'll let you know.

BTW, I'm wondering . . . What does the above error message mean and what does it indicate?

                    Hello,

It looks like stuff is still not showing up (Scoreboard, FFXIDB, etc).  In fact, I got the following error:  (Distance is now back! :-) )

00:07:00 > ffxidb encountered a fatal error and must be terminated. Error: Access violation in Render method.
                    00:07:00 > ffxidb - Plugin successfully unloaded.

But it also caused FFXI to crash / abend at the same time.  NOTE:  I was in the process of using the Decorative Chair in the Bastok Mines, but also FFXIDB had yet to appear.

                    As always a thankful user,

The minute I click on "Refined Chair" FFXI dies! NOTE: I unloaded FFXIDB before even logging into my character.

I have yet to try the Decorative Chair.

                    As always a thankful user,

                    UPDATE 1:

OK, after turning off all plugins and addons, I was able to use the two chairs and get the Key Item. I THINK the problem relates to the output generated by using the chair and getting the key item. As I had all addon(s) off, I don't have a copy of it, but what I saw was a line WITHOUT a key item name. it was the standard, (user) obtains but instead of a name I saw a period. Maybe there is a character or characters that really kills an addon bad enough to take down everything.

It is NOT reproducible after you use the chair to get the key item. The issue looks to be the key item creation message.

BTW, I enabled all the addon(s) and plugins (using autoload.txt) and after a few minutes Windower died. This time no error message about FFXIDB in the console.log.

                    I.B. Halliwell

                    UPDATE 2:

I again logged in and started fighting (without FFXIDB) and again it died. Here is a link to the screen shot of the crash / abend message.

                    https://www.flickr.c...966282/sizes/o/

                    UPDATE 3:

I selectively loaded the following addons and plugins.  They have been running for quiet awhile (killed 20 birds with magic and several of the undead).  Thus the following ones maybe OK (at least from crashing over time).

                    [02:36:56] Currently loaded addons:
                    [02:36:56]   Distance

                    [02:36:56]   ConsoleBG
                    [02:36:56]   findAll
                    [02:36:56]   Logger
                    [02:36:59] === Listing Currently Loaded Plugins ===
[02:36:59] luacore (author: Windower Dev Team, version: 2.0.1.5)
[02:36:59] ssorganizer (author: Aikar (code), Yekyaa (fix), version: 1.5.1.7)
[02:36:59] tickle (author: ragns, version: 1.1.2.4)
[02:36:59] timers (author: Ihm, version: 3.7.4.3)

NOTE:  This doesn't mean logger or something else didn't cause the chair/KI crash.

Are you sure you got the updates? LuaCore should be version 2.0.1.5, can you check please by going to Windower/plugins/ and right-clicking LuaCore.dll and go to Properties > Details. It should say the version there.

                    Hello,

Yes, I was on 2.0.1.5.  Please see detail screenshot at:

What makes you think that's related to LuaCore and not some other plugin? None of the other text is LuaCore related. Does the error appear when you reload LuaCore?

                      Hi all

Infobar is the one i use the most, much missed on BST, it displays location and direction info correctly but nothing on mobs when they are selected. Best of luck fixing it

                      yours

                      Paul
