Maximum number of Send clients? (dual boxing x 6 windowers)

I'm trying my hand at Windower and FFXI private servers for the first time.  I've had good success with the Send function with 4 Windows and 4 separate accounts running at the same time.  However, I realized if I was going to run my own party, I would need 6 characters (hey, it's been a while, forgot the party size ).

Problem:  I added two new windows with 2 new characters.  Now when I add /console send User5 follow User1 and /console send User6 follow User1 to my current macro (with User 2, 3, and 4 following User1) it will not send the command to the 2 new characters.  I wonder if there is a limit to how many client windows you can send commands to?  

Any suggestions of threads or guides dealing with so many characters.  As of right now, i'm doing most of this by trial and error with a hard time finding any information on how to use ANY of the windower stuff (from Send/SpellCast to majority of the plugins at this point).

The maximum, number of simultaneous clients is currently 10, although I will try to increase it soon when I'm reworking IPC as it currently works. If anything I think you're the victim of an IPC bug rather than design limitations. IPC has not been very stable ever since we implemented it, but I'm hoping to be able to fix it soon.

Well I can deal with that.  This is still a lovely program that I'm learning to use, so hopefully I can make this work.

And as an added caveat, I just simply restarted my computer, and tried opening 6 x Windower apps with all my characters.  They all listen via the Send app, so evidently I just needed to shut it all down and start again.  Nothing like the old "Shut down and Restart" fix.

For the record, this is a known IPC bug (although a fix is currently not known). You don't need to restart your computer, just restarting your FFXI accounts should work. As long as they're all started at around the same time, IPC seems to work fine, it only appears to have issues with accounts that were started much later than previous accounts.

Yeah, now that you mention that, I easily had the game open for an hour before I thought to add another 2 characters/accounts.  Not a problem at all now that I know this
