Windower 4.xx and private servers

Sorry but couldn't seem to find the answer anywhere else, is it possible to use the current windower with private servers? 

Edit: Nvm found a way it was pretty simple just renaming the mxi to pol and and changing the ini file info.

I'm afraid I don't know how, but I know someone else got it to work. I will ask them to take a look into this thread, maybe they can help you out.

There are some private servers that get antsy when using older version of connectors.. 

What we have found to work is to modify the new connector, (which at this time is open source)

and replacing the default 127.0.0.1 to whatever server you are trying to connect with any other

required mods.

If you run a server its easier to put together a connection package -

if you frequent servers you could keep using your current loader with 

your individual ini files until you find a reason one does not work.

This will do away with the need for the ini file...

I stumbled onto this as I couldn't get some command line requirements to work in a pass through when

not using the ini file to connect.

Someday we hope to be able to place an option in there - but we are not there as of yet.  With our 

menu system.  If you come up with one I'd be interested too ^^;

I know this is a very old thread and I apologize, but I was hoping someone could elaborate on this process. I am not well-versed in altering code, so the information in this thread seems very vague to me. This is the only place that has any speck on information on how to connect to a private server with windower. Please help!
