So i finally got everything else working for w4 on windows 8, pain in the ass btw, but now i can load spellcast and the right spellcast but it doesnt actually gearswap at all, nor can i /console exec whatever.txt for any of my scripts i used to have for w3, any help would be appreciated. Downloaded ffxi via steam, everything else works fine.

Another guy with different issues had an MSI laptop, too.
You can try disabling the secure boot and see if it still gives problems until we find a solution: http://www.maketeche...ws-8/2013/02/25 or http://www.eightforu...sable-uefi.html
It's enabled by default to protect you from possible viruses/rootkits. Of course, if it doesn't solve your problem then enable it back.
Let me know if it works.

I only put spellcasts in the spellcast folder, same for the scripts, just moved the script folders which i had job specified into the w4 scripts.
Spellcast plugin works, and i can even load the spellcast for the job, it just doesnt actually swap gear at all, scripts not working at all when i type in the console exec monk/tp.txt it actually crashes, just an example. Any ideas?

On Windows 8 stuff gets randomly locked for some users.
Using the steps listed at http://windows8theme...-windows-8.html can you get to point 5 and make a screenshot of that window?
Of course do not disable anything, I just need the pic
Also, is your PC a custom build?
