I remember someone accidentally finding out about this on the old Windower forums, long time ago.

I also remember he warned not to keep the software running while zoning because:

      1) it might have crashed the client

      2) could have been detected by SE

Today I found out that a new version (??) of that small application that was uploaded on BG Bucket in november.

Anybody knows if this is a "safe" version of the app or if it's just the same as the one distributed on the old windower forums long time ago?

      Thanks!

This is the first I've heard of this being "a thing", and I'm intrigued. After some google searches I heard it can cause some animation issues, but I'd still want to try it out if it's "legal."

If you're referring to the file called ffxi60fps_v0.01.7z from http://www.bluegartr...379#post5855379 I can attest that it works fairly well.  Also, I've been using it since Aug and haven't been hacked/keylogged or anything in that time.

Do you just keep it turned on all the time? It doen't crash when you zone?

And yes I was talking about that one.

Yeah, never have to disable it.  You could set it up to run when the game launches and you'd never have to think about it again.

How exactly would you go about doing this? I'm really enjoying this addition, but turning it on every time is a bit annoying.

On the phone so I can't look it up right now, but you can probably do it using the Run plugin. If not, perhaps with os.execute from a Lua script.
