      My Windower 4 crashes when switching from Playonline to FFXI (clicking Play).  This I have, since the inception of 4.0, circumvented by running a registry script written as follows:

      FFXI_Registry_Fix.reg

      Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PlayOnlineUS\SquareEnix\FinalFantasyXI]
      "bFirst"=hex:00
      "0003"=dword:00000500
      "0004"=dword:00000400

      I discovered that Windower was sending a tweak to my registry every time it loaded PlayOnline, so this file has to be loaded between entering your password, and before you click play.  I don't see anywhere where you can adjust where these setting are and they seem to default to a multiple of your standard resolution as opposed to the old background resolution option.

      I'm running Windows XP (fully updated) on a "Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU.E6550 @2.33 GHz 2.29 GHz, 1.99 GB of RAM" as per Computer information as Windows recognizes it in System information.

      This is a small issue, easilly remedied, but does not seem to have a visible setting to adjust in Windower4.
