I'm pretty sure that this is a different symptom of the same problem from this thread, which is why zohno was asking if you had an MSI laptop. We've seen similar problems on a few other brands though.
Here's the solution from that thread:
Go to the full postAnother guy with different issues had an MSI laptop, too.
You can try disabling the secure boot and see if it still gives problems until we find a solution: http://www.maketeche...ws-8/2013/02/25 or http://www.eightforu...sable-uefi.html
It's enabled by default to protect you from possible viruses/rootkits. Of course, if it doesn't solve your problem then enable it back.
Let me know if it works.

Try using:
//exec macro.txt
/console exec macro.txt
//console exec macro.txt
Do all of them not work?

How are your actual macros written? The txt part, do they have the
\/\/cure
etc? Unless something has changed the
//cure
won't work in a macro anymore. Also the /console exec macro.txt is the one you would wan't to use ingame.

At this point I think that the users who use Windows 8 and don't have these issues just don't have a system that supports secure boot (probably "old" PCs on which they have installed 8).
The newer laptops/PCs that come with Windows 8 have that enabled, like gadiz's ASUS, and are conflicting with windower.

I'm having the same exact problem only i have windows 10 .... its giving me an error message "cannot find file -2" ... the ini.txt isnt even loading on login. Is there a special place i need to save my /console exec macro.txt files in order to make them work? ... any advice is great advice. thanks
