Windower 4 on Windows 10 low fps HELPP! :(

Hey everyone! i just bought a new laptop to play FFXI . I start the vanilla game and it runs at a decent frame rate. but when i start it in windower i cant top over 17 fps. I have tried reinstalling the game and windower but no luck. The specs on the laptop are good enough to run a game like Skyrim on Very High at 60fps. I'm assuming this is a software issue any help would be appreciated! I'm down and out because of a surgery and would love to be playing some FFXI but cant unfortunately
