I have to work to get most things working. Win XP Pro x64 does that to you.

Ewh Viewer... that was an adventure.

1st off, the program can only run on Japanese Unicoding. If ya do that, ya also have to clear your cookies and download history to get a download that has the files in Japanese. This is where people fail to load it.

I'm running v 1.4.9.2 and like I said it's just sitting there at "Calibrating..." so I'm assuming it can't find my ffxi process. I really don't know how this stuff works so trial and error is all I ever use to figure out a Japanese program. If I could have a diagram/english translation of the "setting" window I'd be very happy right now. ^^;

Getting the files to be in Japanese is not an issue for me. It's getting FFXiFUNC.dll to do it's thing. I can get past calibrating, and login, but than I get an error 53 for the dll after the game loads. :shock:

if you get the error '53' FFXiFunc.dll not found error

goto the author's main website (on the first post of this thread), download "FFXi Advanced Macro v0.8.3", extract it using the same pw, and use the dll in there...

apparently it's been updated but wasn't included in the FFXiBGM release

check: the old dll file is 15k, the new one is 96k
meh...

How did you get it past Calibrating? I'm stuck there again.

you can try the following..
open up FFXiBGM.usr, scroll down past the comments section (lines beginning with #)
under [System], change ProcessSearch to =1, and SettingApp to your character name (technically it should be the title of the ffxi window. but windower sets it as your character name for you)
meh...

Hmm.. I already had ProcessSearch at 1, but I just changed the SettingApp as you said, and still nothing.

Oh wow, that worked. I was assuming it had to be at 1 as that would mean it would find my ffxi process, and 0 meant it wouldn't do anything. Thanks! ^^
