AmmoWatch now draws item names from the .DAT files :)

No more relying on autotranslate!

Binarycow,

Great tool! I used it a lot...until the most recent update. You may already know that it's broke (unless it's just me somehow), but here's what I've encountered. Hopefully it will help:

Running AmmoWatch before I started FFXI doesn't seem to work. Clicking "Refresh List" doesn't seem to help... So, I closed it and restarted it (now that FFXI is running). (Sorry if I was supposed to do this anyways, just trying different options.) When I click "Refresh List" I get a long list of "r"s instead of the item names, as it previously showed. Clicking some of them has no effect (other than causing my hard drive to be accessed somehow...). Clicking other "r"s causes AmmoWatch to crash. In the mean time, the overlay displays ": 0"--even after crashing. Luckily, restarting it and closing it again clears the overlay.

Maybe AmmoWatch just needs a new memloc(s) to read the inventory list and currently equipped ammo from the right spot?

Sorry, if I'm not much help. I'm not familiar with how it works. If there's any way I can help test it or fix it, please let me know.

The reason you are seeing a list of r's, is because AmmoWatch pulls item names from the .DAT files.

I havent been playing much recently, so I haven't begun to delve into the havoc that updates have wreaked on AmmoWatch...

However, I am working on some pretty nifty stuff :)

I'll fix AmmoWatch, just gotta get around to it. I dont have my files atm tho, at the 'rents for Christmas.

I'll be home around January 2.
