DO NOT DIRECTLY LINK TO THE DOWNLOADS FOR FFA2-RELATED THINGS, NOR BLATANTLY GIVE OUT PASSWORDS. THIS IS AGAINST THE AUTHOR'S REQUESTS AND YOU WILL RUIN THE LUXURY OF NAs BEING ABLE TO USE FFA2 AT ALL.

Edit: If you ever see a link being posted directed to the file, report to a Moderator asap. Even if they aren't on. If you do post a link, its a 1 month suspension. That's the rule.

================================================

In this post, you'll find:
  • A download link to the most recent version of FFAssist2, which is currently 090422.
  • Any up-to-date hotfixes that the author has released.
  • An FFAssist1 download link, if it has been released within the last while. I will not go searching for these, and will only update the link should they be posted by the author in the same post as an FFAssist2 update. These are also NOT guaranteed to work.

================================================

-------> The password for everything below can be found somewhere between posts 660 and 670 in the following link. The password should be an english word, commonly found beside the word "pass": http://jbbs.livedoor...181/1230916233/

-----> Current FFAssist2 download. Download this .zip by putting the password from the link above into the appropriate file's text field and press the button just below it. On the next screen, you'll get an outlined link that is near the middle of your screen, and separated from everything else... this is your download link (if you don't, either your password is wrong or the server is busy). Click it, and extract the .zip onto your computer:
http://www11.axfc.ne...arch.pl?num=100 ... 219888 & 219923

---> HOTFIX. Most of the time hotfixes contain replacement files that are meant to overwrite the original files within your FFA2 directory. Whatever the file (whether it be a plugin, an .exe, or anything else), extract it into your FFA2 directory and overwrite anything it prompts you to:

================================================

04/22/09:
- Added new FFA2 for the latest update.

what resolution are you running in? I'm using 1280x1024 and the overlay is all messed up. Also with FFAssist2, where do you put the map folder for the built-in map viewer?

Sorry, I should've clarified that. I'm running Windower at 1024x768, seeing as my full screen reso is 1280x1024. For the map folder, you have to create it yourself in your FFAssist2 directory. Just name a new folder "map", and place the files from the newest map pack (check sticky) inside.

ok so far so good...

going through your alarmstrings, it says you can use "/echo /alarm NAME" to load, but in my timer window, I'm not seeing how long things like refresh is lasting when I use /echo /alarm RDM. Is there a different syntax to use to load alarms?

Honestly, AllJobsHelper by Psy is best for that sort of thing. It not only keeps track of your Refresh order, but times them, and recasts it when needed.

Going to bump this once and only once. I've updated the .ini again to include some pretty significant things. Again, it's not perfect, but it's better than a default UI!

I'll keep updating it when it's appropriate, but hopefully we won't fall back to the second page any time soon. =)

A few more things your recastdefine can handle. I never noticed (or tried in 1) but recastdefine="Blood Pact","Release","Assault","Retreat","Fire Spirit","Light Spirit" etc... for smn do work. As well as summons; "Carbuncle","Titan","Ifrit" etc. Accurately or not I can't tell because at the time I was testing on my whm, w/ no smn gear on. But they are accurate with the setup I was using (75whm/37smn).

I would assume BST /ja, and /pet actions are working too.

The translated text file for recast indicates that it should.

2Hアビ(マイティストライクや百烈拳など)は全て「2Hアビリティ」に統一されています。
The name of 2 hour abilities is united to "2H_ability".

からくり士のファイアマニューバやアイスマニューバなどは全て「マニューバ」に統一されています。
The name of ??? Maneuver is united to "Maneuver".

Generically speaking I guess "2H_Ability" Shows up as 2H_Ability in w/e window you've defined your recast in as a general reminder if you happen to switch jobs. I'll have to test it later.

Oh, another thing, new added functionailty to allow you to seperate your verbose ini's into other callable functions seperated into their own files.

eg taken from translated 嫁.txt:

[ Rogumado ]
Plugin=PluginsLogWindow.dll
IniFile=inisrogumado.ini

* The content of rogumado.ini
[ Rogumado ]
Pos_X=100
Pos_Y=100
Opacity=200
filter0=, ([ A-Z ] [ a-z ] +).*

It would certainly make the initial ini file a lot less cluttered if one could simply seperate out, say, job specific alarms into their own file. Greater organizaion = easeir to maintain code.

EDIT:

B03 is the latest version now. Check my last post on the other sticky thread.

For new users who try to use ffa2:
The way to use this program along with windower is to first launch ffassist and then windower. Once you are in the game, start ffassist using ctrl-f1.
If you try to run or close ffassist at a wrong time, chances are it will crash ffxi or/and windower or plugins wont work properly.

You said configure it to the resolution that your windower is running at but you did not go into any specifics or give any instruction on how to do that. Can you please tell me how am I to change that resolution on the .ini you provided to:

Overlay Graphics Resolution - 800 x 600

Background Resolution - 512 x 512

Right now I have been manually tweaking the position of the windows with the default resolution you have put in the .ini file so that it fits in my window. But is there another way I can fix this?

Hmm, would like to point out that all of the hotfixes are for a24 (old). I dont think the latest b03 need any of those. 8)

That's exactly what I was referring to. To my knowledge, it's the only way you can make these work with different resos.

That doesn't work exclusively to party invites, but every time you receive any sort of tell, a sound will play, pretty much alerting you anyways. =) I know it's not all neat and tidy, but I'll keep trying to make the .ini more streamlined.

Hmm, you don't need echos anymore in version B. I think your command should be something like this:

/send alarm use MNK
