Hello Everyone,

I thought an idear maybe for 3.5 windower that you can use multi screens like they did in FFXIV for choosing a display

how it works is as follows before your games start you will get a windower menu like allways and you can choose what dispay like this.

  • //display1
  • //display2
  • //display3
  • etc etc....

Ofcourse it depands how many display you have installed on your PC

Is it possible?
I believe so myself but I wint a script writer at all so I asking you guys

If you just want to be able to move the FFXI window to different displays (provided your computer has more than one), you can use the WinControl plugin to do so.

For example, if you have two monitors, both 1920x1200 in resolution and set up side-by-side, you can do the following:

To the init.txt file in Windower's scripts folder, add these lines:
load wincontrol
alias display1 wincontrol move 0 0
alias display2 wincontrol move 1920 0

Typing //display1 in the chat window (/console display1 in game macros) will move the game window to the upper-left corner of the left display. //display2 will move it to the upper-left corner of the right display. If you don't want it right in the corner, add whatever you want to first number to move the window right and do the same to the second number to move it down. You can also add key binds so you can move the window via a hotkey combination.
My plugins:
- ZoneTimer
- StatusTimer
My programs:
- FFXIrecast (functional replacement for ZeroCast)
- FFXI Treasure Pool
Future plugins/programs:
- Vana'diel time display (from Multi-Timer)
- Treasure pool monitor
- User timers (from Multi-Timer)
- BoostCount (see old program)
- LogExpander (to make chewzer happy)

I personally like the idea of having a secondary display opened up for things such as plugins.

Say if a real mini-map plugin were to be created, it could be sent to the secondary monitor full-screen to give a constant map display. I'm sure this would require a strong amount of coding to achieve.

Another thing that is similar that I have thought about is point and click control of GUI elements for plugins.
