I was wondering if it's possible to permanently change the directory where screenshots are saved in SSOrganizer. I have the Windower installed in my Program Files folder and, instead of all my screenshots being saved to Windower/screenshots/ I'd love if I could make them save to an FFXI folder in My Pictures. I like the existing naming conventions, it's just the location they are saved to that I'd like to be changed permanently (not just on a per-use basis).

Is this possible? How? I saw no config file (like init.txt) and the Wiki for it seemed to indicate the ability to change the dirformat but not the dir location...

Thanks!

In your init.txt in your scripts directory under the Windower Folder, you can use two lines like this:
sso dirformat {%Name}/{%Earth.Year}-{%Earth.Month}
sso fileformat {%Earth.Month}-{%Earth.Day}_{%Earth.Hour}.{%Earth.Minute}.{%Earth.Second}_{%Area}

Also, please see the wiki http://www.windower....ins/ssorganizer
Instructions on how to use most all plugins are located there (Short of 2.30 Spellcast iirc).

Yes, I understand the above. I'm not sure if you read my post. I said I've read the Wiki for SSOrganizer. I am aware of the ability to change the dirformat and fileformat. As I said in my original post, I would actually like to (permanently) configure or set the directory where screenshots are saved.

You have to run a command every time widower starts. Edit your init.txt as Yekyaa said, then the command will occur automatically when ffxi starts.

I see... at least, I thought I did! I edited the init.txt and put this in it:
// SSOrganizer variables
sso dirformat C:/Users/Jason/Pictures/FFXI/{%Name}/{%Earth.Year}-{%Earth.Month}
sso fileformat {%Earth.Month}-{%Earth.Day}_{%Earth.Hour}.{%Earth.Minute}.{%Earth.Second}_{%Area}

I then restarted the game.

For whatever reason, screenshots are now being saved directly to the Windower/screenshots folder, without and directory (like Name/Area/etc)! I even tried again replacing the / with \ but no luck :(

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks...

SSOrganizer uses the Windower screenshot dir as a base before w/e is passed to dirformat.

There is a windower command you need to change the actual windower screenshot directory:

console_screendir: Changes the directory that screenshots are saved to (send 'console_screendir' without a path and it will default to the normal directory).

console_screendir C:/Users/Jason/Pictures/FFXI/

Oh, cool - is that something I can put in init.txt to auto-load each time it starts?

Thanks!

EDIT: Nvm, I see there already is an entry:
console_screendir screenshots

I'll just change it. Thanks again!
