Good suggestions but why would u start it mid-run ? I like the alexandrite pass option. My group has a single person collect them and distribute at end of run. ^^

In case the program crashes/or if you're late and cells are already being distributed and you just forgot to turn on the program first. Would be pretty easy to do a current check of available gear I would think. Then just have the script write which cells to pass according to those pieces of equipment/etc.

edit: Also, an auto-pass selection feature to pass alexandrite automatically if selected (adds the item info to the script at the start of the run).

edit2: ALSO (lol) would be nice if mid-run the program could detect what a player already has, that way it autopasses them within a new script. (I noticed if you start the program midrun, it will only pass what it receives/sees used while running)

To the alex, create a LL Profile SalvageHelper.txt and put alex in it.

To the 2nd edit, .... you can check mark the boxes yourself.

Question, how would I find what item number Alexandrite is?

Also would the correct format be "if item is xxx then pass" to put within the Salvagehelper.txt script?

OK all I ran my 1st test run with the new version of SalvageHelper without FFACE last night.
All seems to be working great.

Going to do another test run tonight and then I will post the new version.

Mantis,
I will look into your suggestions once I get this new version completed.

Can you tell me what you were doing Mantis?
Did you just start the app and let it sit there or did you click some of the X's?

Is there anyway you could give it a black background with white text. If you haven't changed it already. It's blue with red or something like that and very hard for me to read. Before i would've just taken the code and changed it myself but you stopped including the code even though it was open source before.

Also. I don't like the transparent background. I also used to include my own touch in the source to make it remember where it was when last closed. Any possibility of adding options for any of this? I am very glad you have taken over the project. Just hard for me to use without the source since i always went in and changed these things so i could read the text.

Nitrous,

If you right click on your player name once the application is running you will see it in normal windows form and not transparent.
Also if you don't like the text color, once you have right clicked on your player name under the File menu you will see some other options for text colors.
Please be sure to set the color prior to entering a Salvage run, since changing the color will reset the grid display.

As for the remembering where it was, I assume you mean the window location, I will look at adding this.
Also I will add another option in the menu for setting black background with white text.

Please feel free to post any other requests you have.

Also forgot to add another change that I put in for 2.0.0
Now when you launch the application it silences the windower console.
So now every time it writes a new LL profile you will not have the red text show up on your screen.
This will be re-enabled when you exit the application.

Thanks very much. I just have trouble reading it on my screen sometimes. The transparency i meant was the background going transparent not the window. which i think i just made up lol. But i seem to recall before it was red text on blue background and the background went invisible just leaving the text and boxes on the screen. If that's not the case then that was already fine. Just it made it hard for me to read. And thanks for adding the windower console silence thing. Could get annoying if you're using a bunch of cells back to back lol

And yes, i meant remembering where the window was positioned when you close/reopen it. I tend to place it in the lower right hand corner of my screen just above the chat bar. Not really a big deal to move it every time. It's just nice not to have to when it auto opens while i'm running through salvage.

Version 2.0.1 uploaded.

This should resolve the issue Mantis saw with the WindowHelper.dll.
I ran this on a SSR run last night and worked great.

Let me know if you have any issues.

Planned for next update:
Remembering window position.
Solid or transparent background option.

Howdy and let me start off by saying gj on this app ^^ Really helps in reducing time spent in the treasure pool ^^

I've not tried both versions extensively as of yet and i was wondering what the pros/cons might be of FFACE version vs normal version?

Another thing, would it be possible to have a default startup file (one for each job/subjob or several job/subjob specified in one file) which will be loaded whenever you start salvage? The content of the file should specify what items you would want to pass (at the time salvage begins).

Also I wondered that in the same file would it be possible to have an "extended rule" section in addition to the rules the app itself implements where you can specify when to pass (or lot which the app does not currently allow unless im mistaking) for certain slots, a slotrule so to speak. I guess the "when" factor is the real problem here, but at the top of my mind:

1. If you're a mage you don't lot weapon slot before dds. And you want to automatically pass all weapons untill dds have gotten theirs and the lot untill you get one

2. You're in a static and you want to pass the slot 5 times, but the 6th time you want to lot

3. You pass according to a job/subjob priority list on one slot

I would like to keep the userfriendlyness as is now, meaning if you don't have files that specified startup configuration and slotrules then you get the default actions implmented now.

I guess all these example require the app to "remember" alot of different things and by now I'm sure you've figured out I'm lazy lol.

Last but not least, would it be possible to have a "show/hide"-button for a overview of who's gotten what/who's used what and so on similar to the info shown in the gui now. I wouldn't expect or want a gui for each player because that would simply just destroy the screen lol, but kinda like an excel-sheet of some sort.

I'm still crashing with event log showing the faulting module as windowerhelper.dll. Just downloaded the one from OP today.

I used the non-FFACE version the past 3 days, 3 runs. Not once did I run into a problem, no crashes. Working GREAT! Love this program.

The appcrash issue some people are having is very similar if not the same as what some people are seeing with MultiSend
Tavik and I have been talking about it on IRC and are trying to resolve the issue.

Thank you all for the great suggestions I will look into adding some if not all of these.

I do have a quick issue with the autoexec code.

Its giving me an error about not finding the SalvageHelper.txt or something and it does not auto load or unload the program when i enter/exit salvage.
