SpellCast 2.30 Beta 16 (6/1/09) Fixes crashing issues, MAJOR CHANGES

This is my case:
I rest with certain amount of MP and when I get up idle on even more MP, however on the process I seem to lose MP for some reason even though I made sure MP gear is first on idle set.
Same gear but equiping idle with .txt macro instead of spellcast doesn't lose mp.
Is this because spellcast switches gear in a specific order regardless the order you set it up on xml ?

So I uploaded it to mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/?z5j3miyziyd I put it on pastebin too but not windower's http://pastebin.com/t1nMVEsn
anyway the only problem that I have run into so far is getting spellcast to equip my Utsu gear when I cast shadows.
I've been running this xml for a little while now and its a compilation of a couple different ones put together, I just never noticed if the gear change was working before or not, but I always though it was
I was just hoping someone could take a quick peak at it for me as I'm still soemwhat of a noob at spellcast xml's I could have easily screwed something up when adding other parts.
Thanks Nitefall
Forgot one other thing when Iload my nin.xml up on my thf the utsu gear swap works fine and it's the same one I copied over to the thf.xml http://pastebin.com/DruU80bx

It stopped working when they switched the forum servers. Not sure if Aikar will fix it since he's playing another game atm.

1. Validate
2. Spellcheck (misspelled gear won't swap!)
3. Look for logic errors (sometimes it helps to read it out loud or explain to a friend)
At least try and make an effort before asking for help. About 90% of SC problems can be solved by looking at step #1.

I'm using the new version of Spellcast as a White Mage and i'm French.
I was trying today to manage an xml to verify what is my current level and which Shellra i can cast. So i have made my xml based on the one from Generix.
But i have always the same error (i'm quiet sure is the reason that Shellra is called "OmniBarrière").
I have made all the test on console and ingame and each try i have thoses error (i have clean up the log error to give more visibility)
[00:41:43] 2100:<6765> IncNormalCmd: /ma "shellra III" <me>
[00:41:43] 2100:<0> SpellSearch Returned: (yes) OmniBarriere III : <me> (yes) - NotST
[00:41:43] 2100:<0> Final Spell name: OmniBarriere III
....
[00:41:43] 3144:<0> Casting Spell: /raw /magic "OmniBarriere II" <me>
[00:41:43] 3144:<0> is not <st>, waiting
[00:41:43] 3144:<594> waited for midcast delay done.
[00:41:43] 3144:<0> Starting Midcast
[00:41:43] 3144:<0> Equipping Midcast Gears
[00:41:43] 3144:<0> gear changing complete for Midcast
[00:41:43] 3144:<0> Finished Midcast
As you can see, normal the correct sentence should be : Casting Spell: /raw /magic "OmniBarrière II" <me>
Any idea ?
Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, Spellcast just plain doesn't work with ANYTHING with an accent (accent aigu, accent grave, etc.)... so any spell or gear switch will just send up sending the text without the accent, and will just fail. (p. ex. "Brassières de stratège" becomes "Brassieres de stratege"). There was discussion about this about 10 pages ago (this affects the JP and DE version as well), but it seems like people have given up trying to find a solution.

Yes i saw today that the problem with accent is from the windower and not the spellcast. Today i wanted to make a xml file for my Thief and add the same problem with item name which used "è" or "é". I discover that in spite of 2.3 normally make all language that each item must be in french when you use <main>, <legs> etc and not the english name.
Is there a solution for this ? because i don't understand why JP and EU (german, italian, spanish or french) cannot used spellcast or windower at full capacity just because there is a problem with UTF8 or something else.
I also tried to put the \hex\hex on each equipment definition but add the same problem. Maybe it will great to have the opportunity to make something like <legs>itemid</legs> and let the game make his own translation.
Thanks for all support.

Seems strange since rules seems to work fine, but spellcast seems to not find equip at all, even if I put the names in japanese. Of course my xml is working fine on my english client.

i am sorry but i explain this solution in french , because is hard for me to translate , if someone can do it ^^
ensuite cree votre rule
http://www.windower....or-your-macros/
<if skill="EnhancingMagic" > <action type="equip" when="precast" set="Enhancing-%Type"/> </if>
voila

it is a good barbarian but it works.
in your set does not put the equipment that contains accents or other special character.
then created your rule
<IF spell="autoset">
<action type="command" when="resting"> input / raw / / exec RecupMP.txt </ action> I'll point the command to a text document that contains the equipment with accents
<action type="equip" when="resting" set="RecupMP" />
</ If>
RecupMP.txt this file should be in the folder and voila the script must contain.
input / equip Ring1 "Ring ether ..."
Here is the list of characters to enter for those that it matches a name
http://www.windower....or-your-macros/
I block on the magic of type "haste" of the kind
<IF skill="EnhancingMagic">
<action type="equip" when="precast" set="Enhancing-%Type"/>
</ If>
Bin it inevitably changes their equipment as si do not recognize but Haste Haste .... >.>

Bonté divine, ça marche. J'aurais jamais cru... MERCI!!!
Okay, so for the English people out there, here's the key to all this:
http://www.windower....or-your-macros/ (if I could make this blink, I would)
The translation above doesn't explain this properly... but Windower isn't fully Unicode compatible, so what you need to do is substitute two bytes for a one byte character, hence the reason why "Bague éther" became "Bague …Èther". (I honestly thought this was a typo at first.)
I'll use this as a basis to experiment with the spells and see if I can get something going with what Spellcast has given us.
WOOOOOOO!
