Due to the Recast plugin not currently working, I figured I'd at least get the memlocs for this program updated for people to use in the mean time.

You can get them from the opening post, and you probably will want to get the latest version of the resources.xml file as well (link in the OP).

Note that the resources.xml file isn't fully up-to-date; it's still missing some entries from July 2009's update.

the link http://wiki.windower.net/resources.xml doesnt seem to be working atm.

It's working for most people, but the Windower servers were moved to a new location and some ISPs' DNS servers haven't been fully updated.

Bah, I just noticed that I somehow messed up the offset for the ability IDs, the correct one is now in place. Sorry.

Thanks for the quickfix. Are there more options that can be customized in the ini (like background color or green bar color)?

Right now, no. It's a very basic program.

I had the same issue when I dusted it off earlier today and ended up re-downloading the resources.xml file. Not sure what was causing the issue (the "no resources" error is just a generic response to it not parsing the XML file properly if it's found). I'm guessing that you already did this, looking at the file date.

Maybe I'll look into putting a little more work into things. :)

First of all, nice job on this program, simple and sweet.

Quick question, can you change font color/size, background color ect?

Or is this for future updates?

Thanks again for the lovely program!

Another thing that needs to be added if you can is a always on top selection. Having to load it over and over again cause when i alt tab about sometimes it goes behind the ffxi gui and there is no way to bring it back in front without closing out ffxi. I am currently running windows 7 so if i try to ctrl+alt+del i till pol error ffxi, so i cant use task manager to close it when it gets put behind ffxi gui.

I would assume ctrl+shift+esc would work to bring up the task manager. It's what I use on Vista, since I hate that damn fullscreen thing that comes up when you ctrl+alt+del. lol

When i try running this I get this error

Quote

Run-time error '-2147483638 (8000000a)':

The data necessary to complete this operation is not yet available.

I have the krellion.ini with the memlocs from the first post and the resources.xml file linked from the first post.

This is on windows xp if it matters.

the problem was my resources.xml file wasn't correct. So if anyone else gets the error update your resources.xml file.

Very good and useful. Only suggestion I would like to make is for there to be an actual "close" button. Somewhat clicking on that small green is a bit frustrating, lol.

Instead of making an outside proggie like this, why not make it into a plugin? I like plugins, cause I'm lazy and running outside proggies makes me feel dirty.

Even though the Recast plugin is now working, I figured I'd still put out an update to FFXIrecast since I had already done a lot of the work on it.

New features:
- Support for languages other than English.
- Colors for the text and top bar can be changed via INI settings.
- A background can now be shown behind the timer displays.
- The opacity of the program can be changed.
- The "always on top" setting of the program can be toggled by the user (mainly so it can be fixed if it gets lost).
- The program's icon is now displayed in the Windows Taskbar.
- When the background is displayed, the height of the program can be changed by grabbing the bottom of the program with the mouse and moving it up/down. (This setting is also saved in the INI automatically.)
- If you're using Windower, there's no need for the resources.xml file to be placed in the program's folder; it'll now find the resources under Windower's plugin folder.
- The amount of time the highlight for nearly elapsed timers can be changed (up to 15 seconds).
- The amount of time an expired timer's display will stay shown can be changed (up to 60 seconds).
- The POL process the program links itself to can now be selected (for multi-boxers).
- If no FFXI instance is found, the program "sleeps" until a POL process with FFXI active is selected.
- The latest offsets (as of 9 Nov 2009) are already in-place, so no need to have them in the INI file.
- Probably a few others I've fogotten. ^^;;

As with any major update, there may be unexpected issues/glitches/bugs/etc., so if you come across anything or have any questions or comments, you're welcome to post them here or contact me in the Windower IRC channel.
My plugins:
- ZoneTimer
- StatusTimer
My programs:
- FFXIrecast (functional replacement for ZeroCast)
- FFXI Treasure Pool
Future plugins/programs:

- Treasure pool monitor
- User timers (from Multi-Timer)
- BoostCount (see old program)
- LogExpander (to make chewzer happy)

Thanks for the update. I can't use recast plugin for some reason (it crashes every time i try). So this program is a great substitute.

Would it be possible to have a feature so the program doesn't appear on the taskbar but only in the system tray instead ? Thanks ^^

Giving this a quick bump so people see it.

Great alternative to use until the Recast plugin is fixed. Thanks again Krellion!
