I have it set that if it should repeat because of the lines in memory should be no more then 3 times? How many for you if you can remember :)
As far as a echo box and items dropped can be added in ext update.

Hitoma:
i have it set to store 12 million chat lines... did you have it running for along time? If so I'll setup rule that it only stores 100-200 lines and /kills since html logs will be present ^^

6 or 7 times at least , got it running now to see if it repeats itself and will report if it does .

( it may have been because I had changed a bunch of Options and didn't stop/start program )

Tard, Hitoma:
Requests added and chatlog should be fixed for crashing. There are a few random characters here and that that make it go poop, but after chatlog refreshs past 50 lines should be ok.
I've had it running while farming now for 8 hours no crashes :)

Newest updates:
Auto-translate JP and send JP to chat
Auto Clear Chatlog
New Tabs

This could just be me.. but shouldn't the checkboxes in settings for showing the tabs be opposite? Meaning check to show the tabs, uncheck to hide.

Also, the timestamps are defaultly black and the background is black so you can't see them.

Otherwise looks great! Love the in-game translate.

I changed wording so now its: Tabs to Hide :P
I also fixed JP translate so now it only fires if chat is based of normal chatting through /cm's available. NPC will not translate.
Fixed crashing issues with irregular text strings, tested on 6 hours of playing accross 10 zones.

If you guys/gals find anything else please let me know :)

Heyo~!

Ok, I added some catches for errors, but it may still happen. For the most part it's because I'm pulling the color code right from the raw chatline.

I also added individual preferences for which chat you would like to translate.
Added unchangable feature that if LogMod is minimized it will still right to html but will NOT write to the built in chat boxes.
Included option to turn off built in chat display while it isn't mimized as well

Again if any errors or requests please let me know :)

Error on startup: startIndex cannot be larger than length of string.

Has to do with a subString startIndex being bigger then the string itself.

EDIT: It seems to work now. The last messages were (when it was crashing) a point, stare, and welcome... Not sure if that's got anything to do with it.

Thanks Jimmy.

I gave it a run through and updated OP with new download.
Please download the new one.

I encapsulated the message strings into catch codes. So if the line is pooping out it will just display in your log now as "This line could not be parsed correctly." with a timestamp.
Also, if you come across this again, take note of the last line in the built in log, and compare that to your onscreen one if you have time and your not in busy party or event.

The line below the last recorded one in your chatlog onscreen will be the culprit :)

Search results have there own memory with id's for each line. I am almost done compiling that information.

I can't promise it will be soon, but I will be putting in a "Search Results" tab that will log all search results to a text box as well as html output just for that one if desired.

I hope you are working on this still... i hate to do /sea linkshell all, 3 screenshots and type all the names in a txt one by one ><

This would be a feature I would love to see as well - it would be a great convenience to be able to just copy/paste the search list instead of dealing with re-typing from screen shots.

Cheers,
Ari

Is there a way to select what game instance it's looking at?

Seems like the drop-down menu where you should be able to is greyed out... not sure why.

I'll look at adding a "selected PID change" function to allow this. The search results list is proving a little more difficult to implement but I WILL get that bugger :) Please just allow time.

Icehunter,

Any chance this application can be made to become more practical / reliable in a PT situation?

As it stands now, 20mins into a merit party and this application crashes even when using the clear now and clear every 15 minutes feature.

I very much enjoy this application however as it is now, I can only use it when log traffic is very limited (limited to Farming and small group activities)

I do have your most recent version as I thought possibly I downloaded an older version.

I know in earlier versions this was a very clear issue and you were able to increase the size of the logs however when using this application in traffic areas it crashes every time.

I only seen it crash that badly when no chat filters are on. I'm working on the buffer, might have to make it bigger as I already tripled it :) I'll see what I can do.

Hey there, I'm having a little trouble with the translate function.

Well, it's not translating anything. Is there anything I should know? Should I open LogMod before running FFXI?
