I recommend you skip writing macro's in windower scripts if your looking for gear change stuff and learn how to use spellcast instead. You'll slap yourself when you spend a day setting up scripts and then realize SpellCast is 20x better.

Theres so many things you can do with spellcast that you can not do with scripting. Heres a few examples:
[list]
[*]You do not have to setup an alias or such for every spell! Rules enable you to cover all similiar type of spells in 1 swoop. Saving you TONS of time setting up.
[*]Automatically equip a resting set and idle set WITHOUT a macro. Ctrl/Alt+H and Numpad* can be used as originally saving a macro slot and automatically equip your gear properly.
[*]Works off menu's/typing! Your gear changes even when using menu or typing the spell out.
[*]3 Purposeful 'Equip Events'. Easily setup what set of gear to be worn before the start of a spell/ability, what to wear in the middle of casting before it finishes, and automatically go back to an idle/engaged set.
[*]Dynamic gear swaps. The gear you equip will be determined by rules such as whats the current day, weather, time. Equip obi's during respective day and weather without changing a thing or doing it manually!
[*]Advanced Spell Rewriting Code. Spells may be typed in a more friendler way.
[list]
The list goes on.. but thats some main points.
I'm not trying to say using Scripting for macro's is bad and should never be done, I'm just trying to say many people have taken alot of time to setup macros with scripts, then find spellcast and say 'crap, and i just finished setting up all these scripts for my macros!!'
also, 'exec' command can bug out on you so unless you write the scripts without relying on exec's, your macro's could fail to act properly or work at all.
If you want to use 'Binds', you can set that up with spellcast too, just make 1 script to do your binds/aliases but leave the gear changing to SC.
bind !1 input /ma "Thunder IV" <t>
SC will handle the gear changing (I recommend not using SpellCast formatting for macro's themselves incase you forget to load the plugin or it crashes, so your spells will still go off.)
If your new to the whole 'extended macro' idea and wanting to learn, head over to spellcast.
If you want to use the binds, then please continue to learning Windower Scripting too, here: http://windower.net/wiki/scripting
