Forcing discrete GPU

Im running windows 10, have a 940gt. If i try and force windower to use the 940 it just launches as a white screen. I setup pol to run with the 940 but no matter what it still runs the integrated. Anything i can do?

2 things you could try, both require some technical understanding of computers:

1) Set your bios to use only the discrete card (if it lets you), if you dont mind using for everything.  It may also make you reinstall the video if you do this.

2) dgvoodoo2 is a wrapper that can work with FFXI, its kind of a pain though, because it crashes POL.  Have to set it up very specifically, and disable it when you start POL, then enable before you start the actual game (when POL is open).  I originally got dgvoodoo working with it and someone else on this forum, kurgan78, has gotten it to work on Optimus and it will use the nvidia if you set it up right.   Let me know if you try it and need help with settings (i also am on reddit pretty much every day if i dont respond here, /u/sajittarius over there)
