With the latest addition of party statuses for current target and the ability to focus target, are we going to be able to access these via the ffxi lua library? I'm interested in if all party members statuses are being held locally now? This would be a great opportunity to make an addon to show all party member statuses. If we can only see the current target statuses, I would still be interested in a better UI widget as the native one is difficult for me to see and not positioned well.

I noticed this post has not gotten a response, so I wanted to bump it. I am very curious about this topic as well. Are there any plans at this point to take advantage of this new focustarget feature? This seems like it would be huge for enhancing some existing add-ons and open up a lot of possibilities for new development. Also, I completely agree with XzeroX, the location stinks. At the very least it would be nice to be able to make it larger and/or move it.

The packet for party status effects has been found (incoming 0x076), so this information can certainly be accessed from Lua, but there isn't any kind of nice pretty API for accessing it. Focus target isn't exposed, and I don't think anyone has looked into how it works yet. I suggest you post a request on our issue tracker. We haven't had much time to implement feature requests lately, so I can't even begin to guess when it might happen, but it has a much better chance of getting implemented if you ask there. Feature requests get lost in the noise here on the forums.
