Detect job and load scripts upon login (autoexec/gearswap?)

Best Answer Arcon , 08 June 2014 - 07:42 PM

GearSwap does load files automatically on job change, so you don't need to set up anything for it.

Here is a basic tutorial for GS itself:

I was able to get AutoExec to load scripts after job changes, but it doesn't seem to detect my job when I login, so I'd have to manually load my scripts unless I went to change jobs.

Is there a way to load scripts based on my current job upon character login? I think spellcast used to be able to do it. I'm not really sure if GearSwap can do it or not sinceI haven't figured out how it really works.

If anyone can point me to a basic tutorial for GearSwap, I'd really appreciate it as well.

one thing about gearswap, when your writing your script file. does it work the same way as spellcast? is it an xml file or is it a .lua file then where is this file located or go?

It is a lua file and is located in the "...\Windower4\addons\GearSwap\data" folder
