Or does gearcollector actually work?
Plugin similar to gearcollector that works?

Well it says it works off of XMLs within your spellcast files but spellcast doesn't work anymore so I assumed it's out of date.
Can enlighten me on how to get it to work with gearswap?

You can create spellcast xmls out of gearswap by creating the folder "spellcast" under plugins and using this line ingame:
//gs export sets xml
You then go to the data > Exports folder, move the file there to the spellcast folder and rename it to <Charname>_<JOB>.xml, for example:
Cptbirdseye_WAR.xml
Ingame you then use the command:
//gc <job>
There is also a kind of alternative to gearcollector called Organizer. I'm barely getting the hang of it myself as it seems much more complex and does more than just swapping gear back and forth and it's difficult remembering the commands to use it.

The Organizer addon is supposed to replace GearCollector. GearCollector is no longer maintained.

Can you explain how this works. The documents barely explain how to use them. Seems to be the case for a lot of addons/plugins these days.

the commands for organizer are
look in the readme.md file
if you use gearswap and add this to your file
include('organizer-lib.lua')
you can just use 'gs org' to gather all your gear in your gearswap file in to your Inventory or Wardrobe

Okay it works awesome, only one problem. I can't get it to keep my consumeables in my inventory. Food/toolbags/etc Anyway to snapshot those items and ignore them? I tried doing //org freeze didn't work.
So,
//org freeze inventory
then get those items by doing
//org get charname_job after changing jobs?
Pretty easy but I feel like there's a simpler way.

Did you download the user files from https://github.com/K...s/GearSwap-Jobs
and place them under gearswap/data folder?
make sure they are lua files by clicking raw
