Windower crashing just before character selection screen

You don't need to switch it to "On" to be able to load it. //load Timers will always work as long as the file is downloaded, even if it's set to "Off". Can you try the following please:

1. Set Timers to "Off" and start FFXI

2. Once you're in FFXI but before selecting a character, try loading and then reloading Timers

3. Let me know if that crashes you or not. Try reloading Timers multiple times (with the "//reload timers" command)
