I'm having fairly frequent POL Crashes while playing, I can't seem to re-create the issue. I tried disabling most plugins and add-ons, as well as a few other PC programs that I thought might conflict.

I turned on Error Log in Windower but I can't seem to find the thing in the Windower folder.

I feel I should also add I have a dual monitor setup with a 24in. main and 22in. secondary.

Any and and help would be greatly appreciated.

If it happens that much, it shouldn't be a problem :D

I'm experiencing this too, and I also disabled most addons/plugins to no avail. I set up the crash dump generator, but nothing was generated in 3 different crashes (crashes to desktop?). I also have a two-monitor setup, and from what I can tell, it only started happening after the September version update. My laptop, with the same plugins/addons (but only one monitor), seems to have no problems.

Lastly, for me, it only seems to happen when casting a spell or using an ability - never while idle/chatting/running around.

Probably won't help, but here's my error message:

Update: after reading the last few pages of the Windower thread in FFXIAH, I disabled timers, and it's been stable since - it used to crash promptly (5-30mins) when repeatedly using a quick spell to trigger the crash. I'll update if I do crash, but I've got two instances of FFXI doing this and one of them would've definitely crashed by now.

As of 2 days ago ~ish both my PC's FF randomly freezes. It looks like a GW issue dropping packets according to the crashdump but I'll let you take a look at it, you're the expert.

I set up Crash dump as well and it did not generate the files either.

If that method of creating crash dumps doesn't work, try this:

              https://github.com/W...tic-crash-dumps

Furthermore, a crash to desktop means no error message, no game freezing, the FFXI window just completely disappears, immediately and without a trace. If it's that kind of crash, this method will not work either.

Also, crash dumps generally don't help much with freezing/deadlocking. The crash dump you linked to Zigbar don't tell us much (they don't even mention GW being involved as far as I can tell). However, that crash dump is incomplete, it only shows a single thread, not the other threads.

I get a Play Online has stopped message. Does it only make the Dumps folder when a crash occurs?

Freeze was a bad word. It crashes, the little windows prompt opens and asks to end now and all that jazz. Here's another dump http://www.megafileu...erdump-dmp.html but I fear this one is useless because it went straight to the desktop this while I was at class. As far as more detailed dumps, I don't know what you're asking for. I follow the instructions posted here https://github.com/W...mps-with-Windbg and what I post is what it gives me via the instructions. I can make another dump in about an hour. I have to run to the store and I'm sure I will come back to a crashed POL.

Yeah, this dump has the same problem. I don't know why it occurs, but some people have reported that using this crash dump method solved it.

Here's another dump with limited addons/plugins. I'm trying to narrow it down because with no addons/plugins I obviously don't crash.

Timers is causing crashes again? Oh boy /sigh. I'll unload it and see if I continue to crash.
