Survey: The Future of the Windower Forums

We are currently in the process of migrating to a new server. For the most part this should be a seamless transition, and things should just continue working without issue. However, we've run into some complications with these forums. We're still trying to decide what we want to do moving forward, but we wanted to get some feedback from all of you before we make our decision.

If we shut down these forums we intend to make the Windower section on FFXIAH our official support forum. We also still have a complete copy of the database, and we are considering options to make it available as a static archive.

I honestly think relocating the support forums to FFXIAH (Maybe getting a tab on the front page?) would be a good idea, primarily because it will effectively consolidate the forum search feature for people who would've posted there versus here, and just FFXIAH gets more foot traffic than here, so topics that may have been overlooked here will get more exposure there.

That was also part of our reasoning. The fragmentation of support communities (our forums, FFXIAH forums, BG forums, our issue tracker and IRC/Discord) makes getting help these days harder than it should be.

In addition, we're friendly with FFXIAH's lead developer, and he helps us out as well, and he mentioned he would accommodate our transition (if it should happen) with whatever we need, so getting some adjustments on there to match our needs would very much be possible. However, I personally don't feel the need for any adjustments right now, as we already have our dedicated forum section over there, and can't think of much else we'd need. If the transition should happen, we would also redirect the forum link on our front page to the FFXIAH site.
