Has anyone else had this problem and knows a fix for it, every time I search FFXIClopedia, listen to music on Pandora or watch Videos that use Flash Windower crashes. Only fix I found is to disable Primetime Content Decryption Module provided by Adobe Systems, Incorporated and Shockwave Flash and use Edge when using Flash plugins.

First time I've heard of this. I can't reproduce it on my end.

This issue happens for me as well. 100% of the time I open up twitch I get a crash. Updated flash and reinstalled windower and neither fixed the issue.

On windows 10 if that helps, but I didn't have an issue with this before the june FFXI update.
Installed Addons are Boxdestroyer, consoleBG, distance, latentchecker, pointwatch, salvage2 and spellcheck
Installed Plugins are Tickle and WinControl

Actually testing it on the normal client, the issue seems to persist, though a little less frequently. I've been playing normal windowed and just got a few of the same crashes.
This probably isn't an issue with Windower.

Good to know. I suggest you post about this on the official forums. If you're lucky, you might get a response.

I have exactly same issue with Firefox 47.0 and Windower. Navigating on a webpage can crash my Windower instances.

This started to occur since 3-4 days.

Also, i've tried to disable the Adobe Plugin "Primetime Content Decryption Module" and the issue remains. This is really annoying.

If anyone got a solution to make Firefox working with Windower, I'll take it !

              System info :

              Firefox 47.0 on Windows 10.

              Edit :

Firefox 47 is implementing a new way to view videos and to replace flash in html 5. I think, this is the thing that makes Windower crashing.

Maybe those new features can be disabled on firefox config ?

              • Support for Google’s Widevine CDM on Windows and Mac OS X so streaming services like Amazon Video can switch from Silverlight to encrypted HTML5 video.

              • Enable VP9 video codec for users with fast machines

              • Embedded YouTube videos now play with HTML5 video if Flash is not installed.

I've downgraded to Firefox 46.0.1, and I no longer have the issue.

It confirms that it is related to firefox v.47.
