Description

GearCollector will automatically collect gear based on a spellcast profile. Any gear not found in that profile will be stored automatically. Make sure to extract the entire zip into your plugins folder.

GearCollector is case-sensitive, make sure your xml tags and attributes are all in lower case, and that your item names exactly match the name you see in your inventory.

The settings file found in plugins/settings/GearCollector.xml configures the available options and storage sources.

To use:
Put global.xml in windower\plugins\spellcast
Be in your mog house
use //gc <job>[/subjob] [group1] [group2] ... [groupN] to start collecting gear.
//gc stop will stop the collection process
The subjob and group arguments are optional. If groups are specified, only gear belonging to those groups will be collected. If no groups are specified, all gear for that profile will be collected.

For example:
//gc whm will collect all gear for whm
//gc whm healing will only collect the group "healing"

What's New in Version 1.02 (See full changelog)

  • Fixed a bug where a missing <item> tag in global.xml would incorrectly report a problem

This program is by far the best next to spellcast itself. Thank you for this and the amount of time you just saved everyone when switching jobs.

I always was hoping for something like this and finally it arrives. Only thing that would be helpful is some instructions on how to get it going.

could you possibly make it able to tell you via echo or w/e what it could not find? that would complete this already amazing plugin

I keep trying to make it work but it never collects anything, all my gear is stuck on my mog locker and on the settings is set for true to have access to it...

will this plugin be updated?

one thing i found is your spellcast has to have the exact spelling as the gear looks. so if your SC has <legs>Orison Pantaloons +2</legs> it will not collect the Orsn. Pantaln. +2.
so make sure your spellcast looks like it does in your item section.

This plugin seems a bit finciky. Before loading the plugin go to the settings directory, open GearCollector.xml in Wordpad, and change blockKeyboard to False, and make sure that you've also activated which bags you wish to use. In Spellcast you need to make sure your gear is labelled as the abbreviated name in FFXI, so if you have an Errant Houppelande, its abbreviated as Errant Hpl. in FFXI. If the plugin looks like it's hung up due to an item it can't locate or your inventory is full, make sure you type //gc stop before doing anything else, otherwise it'll crash FFXI to desktop.

Love this plugin but I'm having problems getting it to load gear from a group in spellcast, my BLU.xml has several groups of gear sets in it, //gc blu works just fine to get everything from my bags, but when i try to get gear for just a certain group using the example given, //gc blu burn for the gear in my "Burn" group, all it does is put everything in the bags but doesn't take anything back out

EDIT: Nevermind i figured out why it wasn't working for me, didn't capitalize the first letting in my group like i had it on the spellcast
